Villa Luz

Fullscreen Gallery

One of the first villa’s built in what was called modern style. A late 1950’s building set among olive groves on a cliff with a breathtaking view of Altea Bay, with a flat roof, an unusual architecture for that time in the area. Surrounding the villa, the original owners planted dozens of different varieties of cactus among other exotic plants and trees. It seems that the original plan and design suffered variations and different interventions, leaving an unclear result and over the years it ended up dilapidated. The redesign was inspired by what we like to think of as the original dream vision for this villa.
